Eric and I are participating as crew members in the Sunrise Ascent on Mount Washington on July 30 with Adaptive Sports Partners.  The goal is to ascend the 7.6 miles of the Mount Washington Auto Road with the adaptive athletes and their crew members, and reach the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washinton in time for sunrise. In 2022, 17 adaptve athletes and 175 crew members made the summit.  What a wonderful experience for all!

"The mission of Adaptive Sports Partners is to empower individuals with disabilities by building community, confidence, and skills through sport, recreation, and adventure. Our vision is to build a community where everyone can experience and excel at sport, recreation, and adventure.  We do this by offering year-round sport and recreational opportunities in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and the North Country of New Hampshire. We provide activities to people all ages, and all disabilities (physical, developmental, emotional, behavioral), regardless of ability to pay."

Many of you may not know this, but Therapeutic Recreation was my undergraduate and graduate degree, so to now be volunteering back to the community via the organization my sister works for is so amazing! I'm so excited to be a part of this event.
