Thank you for donating to Team Sasha, where Sasha and our team will ascend Mount Washington on July 30th.
The Sunrise Ascent of Mt. Washington is an empowering fundraising event to benefit Adaptive Sports Partners , a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities by building community, confidence, and skills, through sport, recreation, and adventure.
Before sunrise, on Sunday, July 30th, athletes and their teams will ascend the 7.6 miles of Mount Washington Auto Road, determined to reach the 6,288-foot summit of Mount Washington.
Each team includes an athlete with a disability, and a team of crew, who support the athlete as they climb to the summit. I am honored to experience this even with Sasha, who was diagnosed at age 9 with Sanfilippo Syndrome - a rare degenerative genetic condition affecting the central nervous system.
