At 3:00 AM, on Sunday July 26th, we’ll begin another powerful journey—hiking up Mount Washington, the highest peak in New Hampshire at 6,288 feet, alongside an incredible disabled athlete. Our goal? To raise money and awareness for disabled sports.
Adaptive Sports Partners is an organization dedicated to making outdoor recreation accessible to people of all abilities. They offer year-round adaptive activities including alpine and nordic skiing, snowshoeing, biking, swimming, bocce, kayaking, hiking, and gardening. Additionally, they provide programming for school groups, host events for veterans, and facilitate inclusive field trips and family experiences.
This program is especially dear to our hearts—the Marquis family has been involved in Adaptive Sports Partners through volunteerism for over 15 years, and Shari is currently involved through weekly volunteering and serving on the board. Through our work with the program, we have witnessed firsthand the joy, freedom, and empowerment it brings to individuals and families of all abilities.
ASP relies on donations to continue its mission of access to outdoor recreation. Whether helping a disabled child to join their peers on a hiking trip or giving a veteran the chance to get back on the slopes, a donation of any amount contributes toward the program’s continued ability to make adventure accessible to all.
Thank you for joining us in supporting inclusion, empowerment, and the joy of outdoor recreation.
