The 2025 Sunrise Ascent will be Jacques' fourth consecutive year as an athlete. Now 16 years old, he loves to plan adventures with his friends, such as adaptive biking, skiing, kayaking, and winter "hiking" in his snow coach, as well as reunions with people from his preschool days. Jacques has gone through a lot this year, having lost all of his adaptive equipment and van in a fire, and then multiple orthopedic surgeries all at once on his legs to help him get back to walking tall and strong. He remains an encourager of all things good, and brings joy to his teammates on the long haul up Mount Washington each year.
